This is the third part of the lesson for speaking Russian in romantic relationships. Here you will learn new words and phrases for serious relationships, including Russian love phrases. Again, it's an interactive lesson, so listen to the phrases being spoken and repeat them aloud during the pause.

I love you. Я тебя люблю. (ya ti-bya lyoo-blyoo)
I've fallen in love with you. * Я влюбился в тебя. (ya vlyoo-beel-sya fti-bya)
I adore you. Я тебя обожаю. (ya ti-bya a-ba-zha-yoo)
I want you. Я хочу тебя. (ya ha-choo ti-bya)
I respect you. Я уважаю тебя. (ya oo-va-zha-yoo ti-bya)
I miss you. Я скучаю по тебе. (ya skoo-cha-yoo po ti-bye)
I miss you (I need you with me) Мне тебя не хватает. (mnye ti-bya nye hva-ta-yit)
I am thinking about you. Я думаю о тебе. (ya doo-ma-yoo o ti-bye)
You are always on my mind. Ты всегда в моих мыслях. (tiy fsig-da vma-eekh miys-likh)
I can't live without you. Я не могу жить без тебя. (ya nye ma-goo zheet' byes ti-bya)
Will you marry me? * Ты выйдешь за меня замуж? (tiy viy-dish' za min-ya za-moozh)

* Please note, phrases marked with an asterisk (*) are spoken in this lesson from the viewpoint of a man speaking to a woman. These phrases will vary slightly (using the feminine endings) if you are a woman speaking to a man. You can learn more related phrases in a lesson on Russian compliments and praise.

  • скучать (по) = to miss (someone)
