По уши влюбиться

Definition:

to fall in love deeply;
to be dead gone on smb./smth.

Example:

Он по уши влюбился в эту девушку и теперь только о ней и думает.

He is deeply in love with this girl and scarcely thinks of anything else.

Вогнать в краску
(vahgnaht' v krahskoo)

Definition:

заставить покраснеть от стыда или смущения

Translation:

to put to the blush

Example:

На первый взгляд мой друг кажется застенчивым, но на самом деле его не так легко вогнать в краску разговорами на щекотливые темы.

My friend looks like shy at the first glance. However, it is really not so easy to put him to the blush by talking on delicate topics.

Definition:

очень счастливый, глубоко удовлетворённый

Translation:

in the seventh heaven,
on top of the world

Example:

Она была на седьмом небе от своей новой стиральной машины.

She was in the seventh heaven with her new washing machine.

 

Не верить своим глазам
(neyh vyehreet' svaheem glahzahm)

Definition:

очень сильно удивляться, поражаться увиденному

Translation:

to be much surprised

Example:

Она не поверила своим глазам, когда увидела как сильно изменилась её дочь.

She could hardly believe her eyes when she saw how much her daughter had changed.
